38 Ways to Take Care of Your Body That Don’t Include Weight Loss

I have decided that this isn’t the season for weight loss. Actually, if you read my last blog post, you know from my seasons, I am not looking at another weight loss period for probably a year. I have some other big goals that are taking precedent right now. And honestly, I love that for me. I love that I am in a headspace to be able to say I am not dieting right now and I love it.

But that doesn’t mean I am not working on building a great relationship with my body. So I figured I would create a (non-comprehensive, mostly likely ever evolving) list of thing I can do for my body (that dont include weight loss, measuring, or tracking how it looks). Here is my list:

Lotion

  • Hot shower

  • Cold shower

  • Face mask

  • Wash hair

  • Everything shower

  • AM skincare

  • PM skincare

  • AM brush teeth

  • PM brush teeth

  • Floss

  • Scrape tongue

  • Ice roll face

  • Face sculpt

  • Shave

  • Dermaplaning

  • Face/ body scrub

  • Put on makeup

  • Hair mask

  • Do hair

 

 

  • Foam roll

  • Mobility practice

  • Gua sha

  • Massage

  • Chiropractor

  • Cryotherapy

  • Compression boots

  • Massage gun

  • Sauna

 

  • Walk

  • Strength Train

 

  • Eat 4-10 servings of plants

  • 130+g of protein

  • 100 oz of water

  • Eating enough

 

  • Meditation practice

  • Breathwork practice

  • Loving Affirmations

  • Check in with myself

  • Listen to my gut

Some of these are already habitual for me, others I need to work on. My plan is to pick at least 10 every day and very intentionally do them for my body. Building the muscle memory to take impeccable care of myself and my body.
